The 68 Charger: Building a General Lee DAY 2
Drove to Malvern Arkansas and picked-up the Charger - it is stock and complete The motor is the numbers matching 383 and automatic 727 transmission. The motor turns over and I believe it could be made to run with very little work. This Charger came from the factory with a floor shift with console, power steering, power brake, overhead seatbelts, and airconditioning. It has the original paint with a very nice body and a solid frame. It is a rare color combo, gold paint and a gold interior. There is a small rust hole on the driver's quarter and one on the corner, around the back glass is a small amount of rust, and a couple of small places on the tail panel. The floors will need pans and the trunk will need a pan as well. The rockers, fenders, hood, deck lid, and doors are rock solid. The front valance is dented as well as the passenger's fender but they are a easy fix. The windows are in working order and the glass is good, it will need a windshield. I believe everything is present and it's a complete car. The dash and instrument panel are exceptional(tic toc tach) as well as the grille and working hideaway headlights. The console is broken but the metal console door, shifter plate, and butt plate are in great shape. The taillights are very nice. The hub caps are the original ones. It has the flip top gas tank lid and it's mint. All in all a very complete and restoreable big block mopar.
